Privacy and deletion

Your resume is sensitive. Here is exactly what happens to it, in plain English.

What we keep

The resume text and job posting you paste, the analysis we generate from them, your practice answers, and your email address if you choose to give one. Nothing else. There is no account to create.

How long we keep it

30 days, then it deletes itself. The expiry is written onto the record the moment it is created, so nobody has to remember to run anything.

Deleting it right now

Every brief has a delete button that removes the record and its activity log immediately. No email, no waiting, no confirmation queue.

What our logs contain

We record that an analysis ran, how long it took, what it decided, and roughly what it cost. Instead of the document, we store a one way fingerprint of it and its length. Nobody reading our logs can read your resume, your email address, or your practice answers. You can see the whole log for your own session on the agent activity page.

Who else sees your text

Your resume and the job posting are sent to Google’s Gemini API to be analysed. This deployment currently uses the Gemini Developer API rather than Vertex AI, and Google’s terms for that API allow them to use content to improve their services. We will not claim otherwise while that is how we are wired. If that matters to you, please do not paste anything you would not send to Google directly.

We do not use your documents to train anything of our own, and we never sell or share them.

Payment

Payment is handled on a page hosted by Stripe. Your card details are entered there and never reach PrepPilot. We store only whether a session was paid for.

Tracking

No advertising, no third party analytics, and no tracking scripts on any page that touches your resume.
